Shocco Springs | former health resort in S Warren County on Shocco Creek. Located approx. 9 mi. S of Warrenton, it was popular in the nineteenth century as a social, recreational, and health resort built around mineral springs. Shocco Male Academy was located there. Neither is in existence any longer. Shocco Springs had a post office from 1832 until 1866 and was shown on the Price map, 1808. |
