Narrow streets in Manzanillo, Mexico
A work truck sits in the middle of a narrow street. A man stands in the truck gesturing to a man on top of an electrical pole. Cars line one side of the street. Beyond the street houses rise up a low hill.Manzanillo is a large seaport town on Mexico's west coast. It was founded early after the Spanish conquest of Mexico and became an important ship-building port during the colonial period. The name of the town comes from the Manzanillo tree, which provided essential raw materials for building ocean-going ships. Today the town is Mexico's busiest port and a popular tourist destination.
