A porter with pack
Houses along the route at Nepal Danda belong to Newar traders. The houses are made of bricks and have painted walls, doors, and windows. These houses also function as shops.
This trail used to be part of the ancient salt trade. Although the salt trade along this route has stopped, it is still used for transporting other goods. Porters carry many of these goods to the villages and towns beyond the road heads.
